The Three Dimension Luck and Power Test

January 19th, 2006 by real11

***You Are Internal - Realist - Empowered***

You feel your life is controlled internally.
If you want something, you make it happen.
You don’t wait around for things to go your way.
You value your independence and don’t like others to have control.

You are a realist when it comes to luck.
You don’t attribute everything to luck, but you do know some things are random.
You don’t beat yourself up when bad things happen to you…
But you do your best to try to make your own luck.

You have a good deal of power, but you also know the pecking order.
You realize that working the system does get you further.
You know who to defer to and who to control.
When it comes to the game of life, you play things flawlessly.

Hopeless

Rina. Her name is the only special thing he knows about her. He could have known more but he never tried. One cannot blame him though. He is just a simple guy—nothing special, not one striking characteristic to show off. And she is at the pedestal.

"Ah, she’s ano pala eh. She’s out of your league…" "Wake up… wake up… you’re dreaming!" "Marami namang iba jan eh…" He is sick and tired of all the things he has been hearing about his rather romantic illusion. But he knew deep inside that his illusion cannot overcome reality. Just not yet. Not now. He is helpless.

What can he do? He thinks about her everyday and he daydreams about a blooming romance. He cannot get her out of his head. He suddenly shifts his movie genre from action to love stories. And he does not care if they are the mushy ones most guys hate. Love moves anyone indeed. But in a situation where he is now, he is very much helpless.

He acts like an amateur stalker. One glance, two glances at his Helen of Troy is not enough. He follows her, tracks her schedule, goes at her favorite hangouts, and does everything to get as close to her as possible. But he cannot face her nor introduce himself to her. His wobbly knees are too much to overcome. Every time he fails to utter even just a single word to her, a searing pain squeezes his heart. Like a stone instantly cracking into sand, he is helpless.

But reality bites. No, reality slowly eats wandering souls. Unless he finds a way to get out of this deep hole he dug for himself, he is bound to lose the vigor that is in itself generated out of nowhere—like a spark flinching from space. And as he blindly veers away from the stark truth: the eventual dying out of the ecstatic feeling he firmly possesses right now, he is helpless.

He is afraid of rejection—of being doused with cold water and of being humiliated by reality. He knows his lessons in probability just too well. There is just no chance, he says to himself. Yes, he hopes for something to happen. But at the same time, he is helpless.

Rina. Rina. Rina… He whispers in the dark when he could have shouted in the open. He glances at her face when he could have looked her in the eye. He follows her secretly when he could have held her hand and guided her through the rain. He dreams when he could have stepped into reality.

Handwriting Analysis

May 9th, 2005 by real11

After reading my roommate’s blog, I thought that undergoing a handwriting analysis is a good way to delve into my personality. Well, it really is. Here are the interesting ‘facts’ from the results. Try this too at http://www.handwritingwizard.com/main.phtml

1. Real is a practical person whose goals are planned, practical, and down to earth. This is typical of people with normal healthy self-esteem. He needs to visualize the end of a project before he starts. he finds joy in anticipation and planning. Notice that I said he plans everything he is going to do, that doesn’t necessarily mean things go as planned. Real basically feels good about himself. He has a positive self-esteem which contributes to his success. He feels he has the ability to achieve anything he sets his mind to. However, he sets his goals using practicality– not too "out of reach". He has enough self-confidence to leave a bad situation, yet, he will not take great risks, as they relate to his goals. A good esteem is one key to a happy life. Although there is room for improvement in the confidence category, his self-perception is better than average.

2. In reference to Real’s mental abilities, he has a very investigating and creating mind. He investigates projects rapidly because he is curious about many things. He gets involved in many projects that seem good at the beginning, but he soon must slow down and look at all the angles. He probably gets too many things going at once. When Real slows down, then he becomes more creative than before. Since it takes time to be creative, he must slow down to do it. He then decides what projects he has time to finish. Thus he finishes at a slower pace than when he started the project. He has the best of two kinds of minds. One is the quick investigating mind. The other is the creative mind. His mind thinks quick and rapidly in the investigative mode. He can learn quicker, investigate more, and think faster. Real can then switch into his low gear. When he is in the slower mode, he can be creative, remember longer and stack facts in a logical manner. He is more logical this way and can climb mental mountains with a much better grip.

3. Real uses judgment to make decisions. He is ruled by his head, not his heart. He is a cool, collected person who is usually unexpressive emotionally. Some may see him as unemotional. He does have emotions but has no need to express them. He is withdrawn into himself and enjoys being alone. The circumstances when Real does express emotions include: extreme anger, extreme passion, and tremendous stress. If someone gets him mad enough to tell him off, he will not be sorry about it later. He puts a mark in his mind when someone angers him. He keeps track of these marks and when he hits that last mark he will let them know they have gone too far. He is ruled somewhat by self-interest. All his conclusions are made without outside emotional influence. He is very level-headed and will remain calm in an emergency situation. In a situation where other people might get hysterical, he has poise. Real will work more efficiently if given space and time to be alone. He  rather not be surrounded by people constantly. In a relationship, he will show his love by the things he does rather than by the things he says. Saying "I love you" is not a needed routine because he feels his mate should already know. The only exception to this is if he has logically concluded that it is best for his mate to hear him express his love verbally. Real is not subject to emotional appeals. If someone is selling a product to him, they will need to present only the facts. They should present them from a standpoint of his sound judgment. He will not be taken in by an emotional story about someone else. He will meet emergencies without getting hysterical and he will always ask "Is this best for me?"

4. People that write their letters in an average height and average size are moderate in their ability to interact socially. According to the data input, Real doesn’t write too large or too small, indicating a balanced ability to be social and interact with others.

5. Real is very self-sufficient. He is trying not to need anyone. He is capable of making it on his own. He probably wants and enjoys people, but he doesn’t "need" them. He can be a loner.

Whew!

Stress seems to devour my soul during the past few days. Well, what can I expect from a hellish summer schedule? I have three subjects that are not only demanding but also require rigorous study habits. I certainly miss my high school days, where I can sleep at eight and wake up at five and enjoy the morning—the gentle breeze, the crystalline dew slowly falling to the ground, and the warm kiss of the sun’s rays lightening up my face. How time flies… Now, I wake up at nine, reluctant to go to my 10 o’clock class and endure another boring lecture.

But I love challenges. I love that NIke slogan—impossible is nothing. Perhaps my autobiography can be aptly titled "Overcoming the Odds." I experienced a metamorphosis from a class-cutter-videogame addict-invisible child at home to a class valedictorian. That unforgettable chapter in my life, which helped me form the core of my guiding principle in life, is a testament to what I will be in the future if I do not lose focus and continue in fulfilling my dreams.

And so I am challenged. Not only by this ‘hell’ summer, but also by the last two years or so of my college life. My high school classmate recently asked me, "O ano, cum laude, magna, o summa?" I just smiled. The thoughts of reaping the awards of a fruitful academic career makes my heart flutter. But if getting to the honor roll becomes my ultimate challenge in life, I am simply a worthless individual that lives on illusions. No, I am challenged because the next two years or so would shape my future. As I move towards adulthood, questions will slowly be answered. Will I be a "perfect individual," locked within the doors of self-deceit and morbid narcissistic satisfaction? Or will I be an "imperfect individual"—one that gives out a hand and looks out in the world, ready anytime to make an impact.  A catalyst for change, geared towards development—that’s what I want to be.

You know what, my brain challenges me now. I should take a rest na raw. =P
